I was going to take issue over this ... but then I saw Davis' numbers drop to 22%, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. Call me a hypocrite ... ;-) Hypocrisy is all the Reps. abandoning Arnold because he's too liberal for them.Speaking of which, I'm constantly amazed at how the Dems aren't "following the polls" on this one and abandoning Davis. What makes you think they aren't? Dems are caught between a rock and a hard place. However, just remember it ain't over til its over.Meanwhile, it was only yesterday that I discovered another Davis lie. In response to the recall, Davis' standard answer is to remind people that "eight million voters chose him in the last election." I never thought anything about that number until I found out the truth. Eight million registered voters merely voted in the last election. Only half of them voted for Davis. Oh, that's a terrible one......I hope they cut out his tongue for it. Its definitely worth a $70 million recall. ;~)Oh, and the reason why the recall petition "only" needed one million signatures is because the minimum is set at 12% of voters in the last election. Thanks to the highly negative campaign of 2002 (much of which was thanks to Davis, who far outspent his opponents in ads), voter turnout was at an all-time low. That lowered the requirements for the recall petition. Most of America probably doesn't know that, including those who poke fun at California. I think this call's for Davis's execution. BTW you're sounding more and more like D. Ray. Taking lessons, are ya? ;~) ted
