That is so far from what either Derek or I said, I wonder if you bother to read what you respond to. Again, the Constitution makes our sovereignty trump international law. The Congress can override any treaty to which we are a party by simple statute.

Anyway, I took your initial use of the word "recognize" to mean that the UN did not acknowledge the role of the Interim Council, rather than as legal recognition of a government in a sovereign state. When I saw the misunderstanding, I corrected it........
