15% was higher than I anticipated......g

I'd bet for very active traders it's even lower.

......>>>> Well looking at SI you wouldn't belive it..but only about 15% of Stock traders make money over the long run, Thoes in Mutual Funds do better....<<<< Many, many years ago in the 80s and early 90s Norm Zadeh had something called the U.S. Trading Championships. Each year participants ponied up $300 to play with *real* money to try their hand at trading options, futures, stocks, and mutual funds. Many of these traders were professionals and included some of Jack Schwager's wizards. The biggest percentage losers were (no surprise) the option traders, followed by the future traders, then the stock traders, with the fund traders having the highest percentage of winners. I want every edge possible as a trader and that is one of many reasons why I gravatated from trading stocks and futures to exclusively mutual funds.
