As long as you tax somebody else, no problem! <G>

I got an idea, why don't they tax Texans? Special assessment. After all, didn't Enron start it? <GGGGG>

Is Ross' daughter married yet? Why not enlist his help! Just open the hood and fix it. He might just be 'Crazy' enough to volunteer.

may I suggest that you go down to your local friendly assessor's office and take a look at the property tax roll.

So you want to punish the few old folks who had not moved in 30 years and give the power to tax back to the hands of the totally unpredictable local politicians?

do you have any idea what our prop tax rate would be, with the current crisis, if NOT for prop 13?

....people are likely to prefer a repeal of...Prop 13...to a large increase in income taxes
Why is it few think of less expenditure before raising taxes?

people are likely to prefer a repeal of the unequal Prop 13 subsidies to a large increase in income taxes

isn't CA already near the top of the list in state income and sales taxes? where else can they go but to raise property tax. unfortunately, many selfish beneficiaries of Prop 13 may oppose this. on the other end of the spectrum, i wonder how many years before Texas has a state income tax. not many, i suppose. the legislature recently tried to impose an excise tax on professional services.
