I guess you missed the "Iraq BodyCount" site set up by some Brits. Of course, it was only "civilians" they were worried about.

In France, nearly 3000 deaths in France have been attributed to a heat wave that has roasted Europe (100 F..! my, that is hot..oh yeah). There is no A/C in Paris to speak of, so many people got "too hot".

The French gov't is finally getting some criticism over the number of deaths. I guess they were so busy grandstanding the US efforts to undo their own dirtywork in Iraq, they screwed up helping their own citizens in time of need.
