The American Heritage dictionary defines treason as a violation of allegiance toward one's country and a purposeful act of aiding its enemies. Also, a betrayal of trust or confidence. Ann Coulter makes a compelling case that the Democrat Party has engaged in treason as defined above. Clearly, treason as a criminal act is not appropriate nor is it alleged in her book. I don't condemn those who are not open to reading a differing view such as this. I just don't think their comments on the matter have worth. However, I would think that you, as a conservative, would realize that there must be something to her theory given the factless response from liberals.
