Just a few sentences later, he says:

" . . . knowing, that our last progressive president was killed in a blatant conspiracy; that a presidentially appointed inquest then consciously covered it up; that the mainstream media like the Post and the Times acquiesced in that effort; that this assassination led to the death of 58,000 Americans and two million Vietnamese . . ."

Based on this and the rest of the web page, it seems to me that he believes that JFK was trying to withdraw from SE Asia.

RFK was vocally anti-war during his campaign? So was LBJ . . .

Another lowlight from that page:

"[Chomsky's "Rethinking Camelot"] is not significantly different from that of the Warren Commission."

This is comical. The Warren Commission was an investigation into the details of the JFK assassination. Chomsky's book does not discuss the assassination at all.

Brian Salter has a right to lash out, because the mainstream has been far too quick to dismiss conspiracy theories regarding 9/11. However, I don't believe he is being level-headed.
