Yes, sort of creepy. But, his lack of understanding of the law is what I've heard that is most distrubing. During the initial debates of the Constitutionality of his originally proposed Patriot Bill (or, I should say the unConstitutionality), attendants in the meetings stated that Ashcroft showed very little understanding of the legal issues. In fact, he was kind of surprised about the fuss, according to the story I read. Scary.
