The whole point of the UN is international co-operation. Here is the charter. <The U.N. would cease to exist> The US can destroy the world if it likes -- the nuclear firepower is there to reduce the world to radioactive ashes. We can destroy the UN if we like -- although I am not so sure the UN would be so easily destroyed as you assume. It is possible that it would move out of New York and function without the US. But assuming the UN is destroyed, as many in the Bush Administration seem to desire, it simply underlines the destructive nature of this Administration. Destroying is easy -- any monkey with a stick can destroy something. Building takes real "men".
