RE: ""hope" and "reality""

When the market folded last year, the underlying cause was the fear of a "double dip" recession. That was the bear's "hope", but is wasn't "reality".

Now there is no talk and very little fear of a "double dip". The general consensus is gradually increasing growth. Now, the bear's "hope" is based on valuation, but valuation is ephemeral. It is based on yesterday's news and tomorrow's timid forecasts from decidedly unsophisticated analysts. Savvy investors see through the valuation smokescreen. The opportunity cost of not parking money in money market accounts and funds and CDs is lower than most can remember. The future of technology is brighter than ever because technology is our future. The small group of companies that are almost certain to benefit greatly from the future of technology are not overvalued.
