There is no "necessarily", but the official data and the unofficial readings of CEO expectations all point to a recovery.

We understand the reasons for the past few years and we know that it represents a temporary situation. Of course, there are many who have used the past few years' data to suggest that fundamental negative changes have taken place.

Too many people get paid too much to scrutinize the financial and business tea leaves and to pretend that there are significant conclusions to be drawn from them.

I like simplicity. It is evident that there is a very bright future ahead for technology. It is not too difficult to identify winners and to determine the likely growth rates of their markets and their ability to defend market share and profit margins.

All the rest is noise.
