Absolutely. I hope I didn't give you the impression I don't see them as human beings- although I think their needs are different (as they see their needs), because they are in such different circumstances, with such a different history. If we see them as JUST like us, we won't have a chance for peace either, imo. (the sea snake simile was about populist nationalists who are willing to use violence- they are present in most countries- and I certainly didn't mean to imply (or for you to infer) that the simile only applied to Arabs)
