Absolutely. I hope I didn't give you the impression I don't see them as human beings- although I think their needs are different (as they see their needs), because they are in such different circumstances, with such a different history. If we see them as JUST like us, we won't have a chance for peace either, imo.

(the sea snake simile was about populist nationalists who are willing to use violence- they are present in most countries- and I certainly didn't mean to imply (or for you to infer) that the simile only applied to Arabs)

The problem is some in that list don't see women as human beings and I just can't get over that. I feel a deep sense of needing to interfere with some Mullah's view of the world. Even though it really should be none of my concern.
