Carl, I was talking about the land that the Israelis actually did take, which obviously they had soldiers enough to take. I was also talking about Moshe Dayan's behavior in 1967. He could have driven many more Arabs out of the West Bank simply by fomenting a panic. Instead, he went out of his way to calm a panic. Nice of you to suggest that maybe the Israelis of 48 had some virtues, though you don't think the present day Israelis do!

The Israelis have always been willing to compromise. It's the Arabs who still to this day recognize only their own claims and hear the word "surrender" whenever someone says "compromise"
