You are as good as the neocons at twisting words. I said that we needed to have the rest of the world fear our might and resolve, while using better judgement as to when to apply that might. Completely different. Do people obey the laws out of altruism? Do cops go up and arrest criminals by appealing to their good sense? Was Hitler talked out of gassing millions? No. What America needs, and has had in the past, is the strong might and the good sense of when and how to apply it. I can see why some on the right are scared of the extreme left. In a world where America disarms and just hopes that everyone behaves, no one is safe.
