i guess lenders were hoping that rates would back down and when they didnt they will fold...
of course the smart ones hedge and are contibuting to the melt up by unwinding their hedges which makes the nonhedgers more liable to go belly up...
Capitol had billions in mortgages, wonder how many other nonhedgers are out there
