I currently had an Ameritrade Plus account as was not refused. Because of that I can directly deposit from my Checking account and then do an internal transfer from my Plus account to Freetrade. It takes about 3 days to get a deposit done that way but it avoids the wire fees for me. The no human factor might prove a big downside at some point, we'll see. They did respond to their client services emails fairly quickly, however, and did give me the answers I was looking for the first time. Better than some of the others.
