According to an article in our local press the AFL-CIO wants the Democrats to contest Bush mainly on economic issues while steering clear of foreign policy debates. Seems that Zionist Jews wield considerably power in the AFL-CIO and many of them support the Bush foreign policy. And this despite the fact that there are very few Jews in the AFL-CIO outside the teachers unions.

The Zionists seek influence on every part of the political spectrum so that whoever is elected will keep supporting Israel no matter what their stance on other issues.
