Well - that is definitely a very gross generalization. I'm originally from Iowa, so I can't speak about Ohio, but I can tell you that there are many very smart people there, and good universities. Unfortunately, most of them do leave, because the jobs just aren't there. When I went to work for my first start-up in Boston, I was amazed at how poor the work ethic was! I've worked at a lot of places, including Silicon Valley, and I have yet to find harder working people then in Iowa. The bottom line is that for whatever reason, people seem to think that California is the place to be - maybe it has to do with the subliminal brainwashing from watching the "Beverly Hillbillies"? In reality there are plenty of other places to live, and most of them have much lower house prices and taxes :-)

Regards,

Dave

P.S. I live in Miami Beach :-)
