marcos, if I go into a governmental office for one reason or another say a DMV and I want to get an application for a drivers license, I can get it in spanish if I want which is as it should be since a large part of the population of california of hispanic. I think they also have the same in Chinese and a few other languages. However, one of the common things that binds (however loosely) this country together is the common bond of english. It leaves us free to misunderstand someone because of stupidity and ignorance as opposed to the spoken word <g>. I disagree that having things that way in it's self makes us a racist society or your inference that if you don't believe that we should be a multilingual country you must be too stupid to hold a high ranking job. We do have albeit 2nd language courses in our schools.

I'm too tired to try and finish with this marcos. I'm glad that you agree with my pot idea. People are going to ruin themselves if they want no matter if it's illegal or not...... Time for sleep.

Marcos - I think you have misunderstood the situation. You asked, whether Carl wanted one "official language". Most people in the world agrees with Carl, that a country should have one official language. This is something completely different than "dictating a language to the individual".

Besides that, I know many people who were tortured by the German "herrenvolk" during 2nd World War, including family members, and I don't think your statements are funny in any way. Life and death can never be less important than what language your driver's license uses. Therefore, you were reported for ToU violation.

May I ask how old you are?
