In summary if you do not read French

The article was really promotional and probably quite exaggerated

investorshub.com

The costs according to Zeev will be much higher, and the production much more difficult than the article implies.

I have talked to several women who have stated emphatically that they would never want an artificial diamond. Artificial sapphires, emeralds, and rubies have had no impact on the high end jewelry markets.

And they are preparing for this with brand named diamonds

yeah, i read his thoughts but they don't convince me at all. if he is comparing the current generation of CVD diamonds to synthetic gems from the 1970s (see his Ihub post), it makes me wonder if he even read the article. the article specifically addresses differences between them and mentions that synthetic emeralds, e.g., sell for 3% of the price of like mined stones.

as for yield and costs, who knows. i don't think there's enough info to even speculate. interestingly, the article claims several times that the price of diamonds is kept artificially high by the deBeers cartel.
