enterprise, today announced the official opening of its office in Mumbai, India.
Former Interwoven sales manager in Singapore, Sunil Chavan, assumes the new
position of country manager for India. Chavan has a strong and successful
background in managing sales operations with companies like MphasiS BFL, eFunds
Technology, and HCL.

India is "Key Growth Market" According to Industry Analysts

Interwoven has already seen success with its content management offerings in
India, and according to research analyst group IDC, India is being touted as one
of "Five for the Future" and a key growth market for IT and Communications. The
analyst group's recent findings also indicate that the Content
Applications/Content Management software market for 2002 was estimated at around
USD13 million and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 32%, to reach an estimated
size of USD 52 million by 2007.

Speaking at the office opening in Mumbai, Srivastava said, "India is a very
important market for Interwoven. The time is right for content management as
business users continue to demand access to more and more diverse information in
their decision-making processes. We are committed to growing the Indian market,
and in the coming months, in response to the demand we've seen, Interwoven's
strategy will be to focus specifically on the financial services and
