There was some discussion on another thread about Scottrade having a 5000 share limit. I asked them and this was their response:

Thank you for the email. This is not true. Scottrade does not have any share limitations on any stock transactions. Please note that the commission for OTC stocks that trade below $1 are greater than those that trade above $1. Stocks trading at $1 or above are charged the $12 commission rate and the $22 broker-assisted commission applies for any order phoned into your local Scottrade broker. For any bulletin board stock which trades under $1, the penny stock commission of $12 + 1/2% of the principal will apply. Orders placed through your local broker would be charged the rate of $22 + 1/2% of principal amount of trade.
