Well maybe Truman "confronted the Soviets in the Mediterranean with a naval task force several months before Election Day" because it was the politically correct thing to do or lose the congress.

Did the 500 million really cripple the Marshall Plan?

I have no idea what really was going on. I know if I read the NY times today I won't know. Ms Coulter did a lot of research. All the talking heads writing whatever may or may not have been as diligent.

On the scale of over the top. Treason is at .05 compared to associating a dragging death of a black person as some evil of President Bush.

Oh, .000000001% of dems condemned that attack.

I can't bother discrediting his piece point by point, so I'll just take the first sentence. "Her duped readers will believe that Marshall and President Harry S. Truman opposed Stalin only because Republicans won the midterm elections in 1946."

"Only because"? There is no evidence in the book which leads a reader to this conclusion. The only "duped" readers are Conaston's.

Of course, if you had read the book, you'd know that.
