19.4 and 26.37 now. VIX has hit levels like this twice in the last three years- -late August 2000 and early April 2002. Both times it was after the decline had already started, which (probably) isn't true now. Still, hitting levels like that when near the top of a trading range is unlikely to be good.

These levels and lower were common during the bubble.
