I commented on what was written in the post you provided. I have no idea what happened back then. I never researched it. And by research I mean what Ms Coulter did, not just going back and looking at old interpretations, but looking at the source documents.

Truman may well have denounced Churchill's speech, I don't know. I would believe he did if Ms Coulter said it. He may denounced it like you denounce Ms Coulter as being not nice in how she says something.

I have a high opinion of Truman in spite of the fact that he was likely very clueless on some issues.

In terms of who controls or can control some part of China, that is just about logistics and America had the ability to create whatever logistics were needed to do whatever.

Choices were made, I don't know if I would have made the same choices. But communists had infiltrated the Dem party and did betray America.
