3:31PM Agilent Earnings Preview (A) 22.45 +0.66: Agilent reports its Q3 after the close today with Reuters Research earnings estimates of a loss of $0.07 per share and revenues of $1.5 bln. Thomas Weisel Partners expects the co to perform in line with a modest sequential improvement in orders and sales with possible significant upside in its ATE business. Firm raised its price target today to $27 in light of improved visibility and controls by the co. On the other hand, Fahnestock believes intense pricing pressure continues and could limit the six-point gross margin improvement the firm is projecting in the second half. The analyst expects the co to return to profitability during a seasonally strong Q4. He currently rates the stock a Neutral with valuation model suggesting six month price target of $15 with a 12- to 18- month objective of $22 based on 3x estimated CY05 gross profits of $7.17 a share and operating EPS of $0.94 on revs of $7.3 bln.
