Your problems with her rhetoric are, by and large, stylistic differences. I believe her use of blunt assertion, especially in the passages you cite, is for entertainment value. She's a shock jock. Many find her writing style amusing.

Her history is not so much shaky as nuanced to support her bias. Her books are well documented and easily cross-checked. The fact that few of her critics dispute her facts leads me to believe that her history is fairly accurate.
