Here is a thought: which laws?

Surely you don't believe that the American people are inherently more EVIL than all the other peoples on the face of this planet?

Since only one other country (hint: a dictatorship) locks up a greater percentage of it's citizens than we do... either we have some laws that are ill-suited for us... and need reform... or we are more evil than everyone else.

Where do you weigh in? 'Extra evil Americans', or 'some bad laws'?

Or here's a thought. If you're going to break the law, as you have so often done, better have an Uncle John.

Ashcroft's nephew got probation after major pot bust

Although his arrest for growing 60 plants could have landed him in federal prison, Alex Ashcroft was tried in state court and avoided jail, despite his uncle's crusade for tougher federal drug laws and mandatory prison sentences.
