Jim,

I've looked for a seasonal pattern on it, but haven't seen a clear one. I've found some indicators that work well enough on it, but since they charge you something like a 1.5% fee if you cash out before three months, you've got to find a system that will hold for a considerable period of time, or get gains so good that you don't mind the fee. Let me know if you come up with a good timing system for it.

For the general market and other systems I've looked at, sitting out August, September and at least part of October has generally been a good idea since at least 1987, with September definitely the one month everyone should sit out. Buying the first MACD buy signal in October is probably a good rule of thumb.
