The anti- Saddam Shiites only "need" to make that statement if they think the US will serve their interests. Since we are an invader, they may very well feel their home grown terrorists serve their interests better than the invader. It would not be irrational for them to think that.

Wait, I thought the invasion and occupation of Iraq was going to stabilize the Mideast.

And the killing and gruesome picture ops of Saddam's sons was going to make the Iraqis feel safer and reduce anti-American attacks.

And remember, it was silly to suggest that the invasion and occupation of Iraq was going to help recruit more terrorists and terrorism. This was all going to deter terrorism.

And we don't know what caused the black out but we definitely know it wasn't terrorism. 411/911???

Not to worry. pResident Bush cut his golf game short. He's on the job. NOT! Hope these messy problems don't impact the old fund raising!
