We had a specific problem- this was the way we found to address it. There was a period when we had several episodes of vandalism specifically targeting gay students, and there was a beating. So this was aimed at correcting the problem. There have been no incidents since it was put in place.

They had a specific problem in Berkeley... The left wing authority figures needed to champion "their" agenda, against the youth. Private consensual sexual behavior (of a particular type) needed to be a public issue that was promoted by the Authority figures, so that the youth of a particular type could feel "included."

"Inclusion" is a left wing code word, btw.

Putting posters in every room addressing homophobia seems a bit over the top to me. Unless you have the walls papered over with posters that say "no room for spitting," "...applying finger nail polish,"...cursing," etc. as well.

Hey -- what do you have against spitters? Are you suffering from spitophobia? You are hereby assigned to obtain sensitiviy treatment for your discrimination against spitters. Shame on you.
