No, the Texas legislature is a joke anyway and does precious little business. It's not as if some great tide of necessary business is being blocked. At best the Reps can hope for a tie, that is the perception that this is just nutty politicians, all of them, doing their usual nuttiness. At worst, for the Reps, is that they are not playing by the rules of the game, which permit redisticting every ten years, not whenever a party gains a fleeting majority. I think it will be this latter.
