If we had said, "Sorry for all the interference in your affairs over the years, we're going home now", back in, say, 2000, I very much doubt 911 would have occurred. Oh, come on, SC. Stop living in dreamland. You are posting on a thread that is posted on and read by people all over the world. You can't pull the covers over your head and hope the boogyman goes away. One of the main reasons that 911 happened is because we had left them alone every time they hit us. Osama stated over and over that we were cowards who would never fight back no matter what he did.
