Whenever a party gains a new majority they may, immediately, get a redistricting. Very bad news.

To that you have a point. BUT... the matter is not resolved by absconding to another State. If the Democrats don't like it, then let them stand up in the state house and fight it out properly, and bring it to the courts to resolve in the end. This behavior is just asinine, and sure doesn't win any popularity contests in the state of Texas.
