France refusing to support a military intervention (invasion, really) into another sovereign country without the prerequisites in the UN Charter (which US signed and is hence bound by, incidentally) is not SUPPORT to Saddam. Supporting the guy, keeping him in power, helping him subdue his enemies, building him the very WMD arsenal that you guys are frantically searching for right now IS SUPPORT to Saddam.

US's "reasons" for invading Iraq have all been proven FALSE by now - Iraq trying to procure uranium from Nigeria, Iraq possessing great military might, Iraq possessing "tons and tons of WMDs", Iraqis yearning to be "liberated" by Americans, etc etc et. So France (and the rest of the UN, remember those guys?) was right in opposing this invasion, on grounds that the claims were not credible.

Yet, you bash France. I am amazed.
