What's a DLC type Democrat? Democratic Leadership Conference. Founded by Al Frum to get the leadership of the Dems out of the left wing Dems hands. Bill Clinton was their first national success--Clinton had either been a founder or a chairman or both. It's politics are basically old Republican Rockefeller politics--liberal on social issues (as long as the political support is present, see Clinton on just about any issue there) and conservative on fiscal issues (let the bond traders run the economy).
