The question, to my mind, is which is more respectful, to adapt the Constitution to the times, or to periodically call a constitutional convention and overhaul it. There is a reverential factor to the Constitution, even tainted by liberal jurisprudence, a mystique, that would disappear if we kept revising it in the atmosphere of current political debate. And the method of single amendments snaking their way through is to slow and non- comprehensive...........
