Lyndon Johnson's policies and actions (prosecuting the Vietnam War and force-feeding the economy with the Great Society welfare programs) did a lot of damage, too. But at least Johnson was a serious campaigner for the improvement of living conditions for the poor and for the black people in the United States.

As far as I can tell, Bush's sole motivation is to get elected.
