BTW, I know plenty of Chinese who came from Mainland do not even want to reveal their real identity. They would disguise themselves from HK, Taiwan, Japanese, Korean... And in case you miss it, the latest round had that big percentage of Chinese here in the US are "spies" for China. What a joke! And I remembered that the big mouth of Connie Chang claimed 5-6 ago on the national TV that 30-50 percent of Chinese students here in the US were espionage for Chinese gov. and only after strong protest from Chinese community she issued an apology afterward. And you are telling me that Chinese who work here are treated exactly like Americans?
