Maybe not, but that's not how you teach kids, best I understand it. When you start teaching kids, when they're very little, you just tell them not to do something. You say, don't put that in your mouth, or don't hit your brother, or don't use that word. Later, things get more sophisticated. When your three year old does something inappropriate, you let him know it. Name-calling is one of those things, IMO.
