One of the joys of having kids is going though these books again with them. And I had never read "The Lion the witch and the Wardrobe" series before. Wonderful books. We've read several of the "Wizard of Oz" book that I've never read before too. Did you know that the Tin Woodsman had a name? Nick Chopper. Sadly, my oldest is now so good a reader he doesn't need me to read to him anymore. He did let me read about half of the latest Harry Potter to him, but mostly for old time sake.
