General ignorance' - bingo ... too much religion, not enough common sense ... even with one whacko cult in the area civilisation would have a hard time getting started, but now there's another whacko cult taking the lands of the first, it does not look good for the species at this rate ... what we need is a new religion, new prophet, fresh scripture, since that's probably the only way to get rid of the old baggage, is to cover it over with new 'the Isrealis had easy pickins on the Palestine terriority until England stepped in with Balfour and then they became the Terrorists of the First order, Menachem Begin sp being their leader........' Yes they had easy pickins, they came in with far stronger european currencies and bought land, paid for some of it twice even, because after getting ripped off by turkish absentee landlords they still were left with the peasants resident on the lands .... it's a fact, some of that land was 'legitimately acquired' ... it's one thing though, to buy land for settlement and agriculture, it is quite another to set up a Whackenstaat on such land and declare it to be homeland for members of one specific cult/tribe ..... there was a group of british columbians a few years ago who bought considerable stretches of timberland in the US, they did quite well on it, bought and sold with good timing, and it was probably wise of them to refrain from declaring 'their land' in secession from the US, or bulldoze the houses of adjacent neighbours, and force them to submit to rule from Kelowna .... it's these little touches of consideration that really count in the real estate biz, trust me
