Response from Minyanville John Succo:
I see it as flow: brokers calling me with what customers are doing. We, the BD’s, and market makers take the other side as buyers when they sell. The important thing is what the customers (institutions) are doing since they control all the money.

original Q from Mish
In individual equity options, I see nothing but option sellers.

How do you see that?
Where can I see that.
I see PC ratios
I see Open Interest

I havent the faintest idea whether the pits are long or short and whether the public is long or short or the hedge funds are long or shot.
I would love to know when the public is long vs the option pits are long and vice versa.

Furthermore since there are two sides to every trade
how the H can there only be option sellers?
Who is "they" when you only see sellers.
Who is the other half of the trade?
And how do you SEE anything at all cause I would surely like to know myself exactly who is long and who is short.

Thanks
Mishedlo
