A stock that has been priced as low as Wheaton is practically a warrant or option in itself. It makes little sense to spend such a large proportion of the stock's underlying value on a warrant.

Also, please note that I was speaking to the suggestion that the warrant is currently worth a dollar. The actual price, 43 cents, is much closer to a reasonable value.

There is the additional risk for US investors of having the exercise price set in Canadian dollars. At this time the warrant can be exercised for about $US 1.17, but it could be more expensive if the Canadian dollar continues to appreciate.
