What do you mean price isn't fundamental? Its fundamental to me. Cause if the price isn't right then nothing else matters. I don't know how much more fundamental you can get than that?

I mean seriously.

Lets pretend interest rates were normal. You could go out and get you a 6% CD for 12 years. You'd double your money. Now thats fundamental.

Its also fundamental to take AMAT. If it repeats its best year ever every year for the next 12 years. Theoretically it would also generate enough cash to double your money. And its safe to assume that the 12 years will be nothing close to that.

So fundamentally, without the casino aspect involved, you'll do better in a CD.

Or fundamentally, you're paying a premium for AMAT to have a seat at the casino, err I mean market.

How about earnings alone then Gottfried? On a historical basis the S&P 500 never hit a historical low at the bottom of the recent bear market.

These charts show that to be factual:

Just page down. I'm right about this. We were so far above previous bottoms that it is unbelievable.
