I totally understand why Christians would want to keep their advantage. I even see how they could believe that their advantage isn't really an advantage (it's "history", it's "culture", it's "tradition"...etc), and that taking it away is a terrible terrible travesty, and equals persecution. I understand them very well- I just won't agree with them. Understanding does NOT mean agreement. I feel the same way about terrorists. I understand how they think too, but they still disgust me. Some people just don't get that you CAN understand what you don't like or agree with. You have elegantly confused the two issues.
