Nope. Sorry. History shows the votes were counted and recounted on several occasions in accordance with the existing law.....the USSC intervened because Gore's camp wanted to change the rules after the election.....end of story....

As it turned out by all the newspaper vote counters after the fact that even if the votes had been counted exactly the way Gore wanted when he appealed to the Supreme Court...he still would have lost. In fact the newspapers showed that the Gore method would have made things worse for Gore and what Bush was pushing for would have actually hurt himself also. The statement that the Supremes somehow unfairly gave the election to Bush is nonsense, it just sped up the inevitable.
