.....no I think the original point (way back there) was that medical services funded through these social programs are not really paid by the recipients of the services.......

Well thinks to pandering politicians that is true of most entitlements. I don't blame those that paid into the system their working lives but the bastardization of the system over the past fifty years of congressional politics.
