Our past Republican governor sought to give it back to us in the form of a break in the car tax. Now that the state is having budget problems, much of the blame is being heaped on him.

In fact, the new Democratic governor took office and immediately started saying things like: Gosh, I didn't know the budget was in such terrible shape. Gosh, look what I inherited. Sorry, folks, but we're going to have to cut back. In fact, he sounded pretty stupid at the time to many people.
