Bush was not AWOL.

>>> Guess working for that campaign in AL, without reporting in for nearly a year is an OK thing to do for any Guard member. (Like to see someone try it who isn't named "Bush" :)

Bush was cleared by the SEC investigation which could find no evidence he did anything wrong.

>>> Guess being 'investigated' by your Daddy's lawyer has it's advantages.... :)

>>> Guess when the SEC staff wants to prosecute, but the Chair (political appointee of his Daddy) overrules... there is no whiff of political pull or special treatment there either....

Moreover, the most important element in proving a case of insider trading is the market data surrounding the transaction which could not have been manipulated by Bush. The market data did not support the charges either.

>>> Funny, it sure looked that way to outside observers when the news of those dry holes came out and the stock tanked within 30 days of his selling.... Guess not filing the required legal reports for over a year was "OK" too....
